Relaxation bench on Kingfisher Drive

About this rest bench

This is a public relaxation and lookout bench in Sedgefield, Garden Route. The village boasts many such benches along the Sedgefield Lagoon. They feature garbage bins and are great for viewing amazing sunsets and sunrises, bird watching and fish such as mullet feed.

This bench is particularly popular for its tranquil setting and awesome sunsets. It overlooks a sand-flat that is prolific in sand prawn popular with bait collectors.

It is also a great place for watching birds although the birdlife is not as prolific as you will at the Island Marsh conservation area. Birds to look out for are Cattle Egret, African Sacred Ibis, Egyptian Goose and the Malachite Kingfisher.
